I served as a public relations and press liaison for conferences and events teams and produced and commissioned blogs to raise the profile of forthcoming events such as the HVACR industry awards which are held twice yearly, for the ACR News Awards and the HVR Awards.

I fully supported both events from attending judging panel meetings, editing the shortlisted enteries in the awards magazine supplement, to chasing RSVPs and editing speeches.

I also represented the company at trade fairs to facilitate sponsorship deals or in pursuit of further business opportunities. I was also involved in the marketing campaign for the first ever ACR Show.

By 2012 I had moved to a communications role at B&ES (formerly the HVCA), so I continued this PR role, this time working for the event's lead sponsor. The Association has long held links with the two awards ceremonies and remains lead sponsor of both events. My role involved organising content for the seminar programme as well as liasing with my former colleagues to ensure the event was a success.

At B&ES I also supported and facilitated sponsorship opportunities and organised seminars and speeches where a B&ES representative was required to address a specific specialist audience, in the building services industry this could range from plumbing, heating, ventilation, refrigeration or sustainability professionals. My responsibilities range from manning the sponsor's stand, handling enquiries to creating powerpoint presentations; for specialist events such as Greening the FE & HE Sectors to supporting seminars with a broader audience at Ecobuild.

I also gave full editorial and publicity support to the launch of the Association's first 'living document' designed to evolve with the industry and give guidance on heat metering.

I worked closely with DECC, the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and external energy auditing consultants to produce the guide. The release of the publication also coincided with the first launch event for B&ES under its new branding which was held at the Museum of Brands in London. This also involved liasing with external marketing consultants to host the event and to commission re-branded merchandising for use in delegate's goodie bags.
