I have worked at a range of publishing houses in the UK, and for two membership associations, all of which have involved a substantial amount of copywriting and editing for marketing materials, as well as expertise in delivering direct and indirect marketing, ghost writing and producing advertorials.
My background in journalism has greatly helped my eye for design and context when producing print marketing materials and my online work has allowed me to use my mulitmedia training to better appeal to the ever changing online market.
My roles at B&ES and HFMA focused on press liaison, writing proactive and reactive press releases ensuring reputation management and public affairs. Whilst working a IOP, LexisNexis and Faversham House I was also able to work in a client facing capacity, supporting the sales team and account directors to produce copy to be included in marketing content on the websites and in the trade/specialist press and for use in online marketing campaigns which I run using a range of email campaign software. I also represented the companies at conferences and events across the country which have included Ecobuild, HEVAR, Sustainability Live and a range of annual conferences and awards ceremonies.
Most recently my work has been involved with the rebranding of B&ES in early 2012 which included press events, and launches that complimented this publicity drive as well as ensuring merchandising and marketing materials were all rebranded and distrubuted in a tight timeframe. I also created a social media strategy for the rebranding process and implemented a strategy for getting the most out of online forums, such as Linkedin, to generate interest for forthcoming events and webinars.
